F.A.Q.

  • How old do they have to be to start training?

    • We start training as young as 6 weeks. Puppies are little sponges and we want to make sure they absorb good habits right from the beginning instead of letting them develop bad habits or fear/aggression due to lack of early training. We clean our facility with the same chemicals that vets use to sanitize their rooms before your puppies visit and you are spaced away from each other so it is safe for you and your dog.

    • Also there is no age limit on training. We have dogs in the double digits just starting their training journey! So let us help you teach your old dog some new tricks!

  • How much does training cost?

    • This varies due to many factors the best way for us to tell you how much it cost is to book a free phone consultation so we can work out your problems, goals, ideal training time commitment, and make sure we are a good fit for each other.

  • Do you train service dogs?

    • Yes. We are able to train service dogs but we have a very stringent interview process as not all dogs are service dog material. Please book a phone consultation to find out more.

  • Do you work with _____ breed dog?

    • Yes! We work with all breeds.

  • How will you train my dog?

    • We use the most scientifically based training methods to get you the results as fast as possible, positive reinforcement. Which means, we focus on what we want the dog to do and make that behavior very fun for you dog so they continue to do that behavior again. We use our brain to prevent the problem behavior from happening again until they have master the skills that we want. We do not use shock collars, prong collars, or choke chains.

  • What do all the letters mean at the end of your names?

    • We are certified through various organizations both internationally and nationally know. Often involving a board review process of our training methods, as well as testing on dog behavior, body language, health, training effectiveness, and much more. These also require us to do continuing education classes to insure that we stay up-to-date with all new science and information.

  • Do I have to be there while you train my dog?

    • Depending on what type of training program you choose depends on how much involvement you will have in the actual training process. All programs will require you at least maintain the things we taught so they don’t forget what they learned.

  • Do you offer any kind of guarantees?

    • If we take your case we believe we can help you. However, there are no guarantees because no one can 100% guarantee the behavior of another living thing, and in dog training we are working with at least 2 (you and your dog). Anyone who does is lying to you or themselves. We do guarantee to be there to help and support you through your training program and beyond that. We want what is best for you and your best friend.
